Pelicano 18 – Epoxying the Scarfs

This next photograph shows the plywood going from 8′ in length to nearly 20′ feet. This is not done with clamps or anything special. This is done on the wooden lofting floor with sheet rock screws; very simple. The key here is to use poly, and I use large black poly garbage bags. These need to be between each layer as epoxy does not stick to poly. Then, I simply stack the plywood sheets on top of each other and screw them down into one another after epoxy has been applied to both surfaces. This should be self-explanatory by looking at the photo. Started at 9:00 am and ended at noon.
