Eider: Covering the Decks with Fiberglass Cloth
January 22, 2012; 8:00 am – 1:00 pm; day 51. Today I faired the cabin topdeck, then cleaned up a bit before laying the fiberglass down.
I took a few more inside shots. Up forward I would like to point out two things. The two holes, 1 is for access to the anchor locker and small one is for tying off the bitter end of the anchor rode. The second is how I build up the under part of the mast tabernacle base. I did not glass the cabin bulkheads or side because I plan to plank them with clear fir like the transom. After this is done I willing glass tape all edges then when dry, sand, epoxy and varnish.
