March 16, 2012; 10:00 am – 2:30 pm; day #73. Today I drilled the mast timber to fit the tabernacle. Then I shaped the fir mast timber to the plan specs and put the first coat of varnish on.

March 15, 2013; day #72. I worked for just one and a half hours. I shaped and varnished the bow sprit. I normally would get right after the mast and boom but I’m far from 100% well.

March 2, 2012; 9:00 am – 1:30 pm; day #70. Today, I mounted the two chain plates for the port and starboard mast stays. Mounted the bow roller and the pintels on the retractable rudder. I then ripped the mast timber and glued and clamped it. I also glued and clamped up the bow sprit.

March 1, 2012; 7:30 am – 2:00 pm; day #69. Today I built the rudder blade and coated it with epoxy. I also worked in the cabin doing some touch up varnishing and installed two cabin 12v reading lights. I also mounted several more pieces of hardware.
