1884 Banks Dory. The photographer sent me this shot a couple days ago.
A quick post of the 20′ 1884 replica of the Banks Dory I finished awhile ago. Here a photo of her first time on the water!
Today I finished up the electronics on the 20′ Banks Dory! She is now ready to launch as she sits on her new wooden trailer.
Yesterday I lifted the 20′ Banks Dory and placed it on its new wooden trailer. It fits perfectly. I now can have the bow stop made.
Wooden trailer after applying sealer! Next post will show it with the 20′ Dory!
Today the fender supports and the tail lights were wired in. Work most of the morning was in the rain! I got a chance to take a couple photos when the sun came out for a few minutes.
Do you think it going to rain, all day?! Today the wood trailer that will carry the 20′ Dory is nearly complete. Tomorrow I will install the lights.
Thursday. The last couple of day I’ve been building a wooden trailer for the 20′ Banks Dory. I’ll keep you all posted as it progresses.
12-17-2015. This is the last post of 2015. There have been a few things that have happened since the last post. This last April I had major back surgery, so I have been moving a little slower than usual. I completed the 20′ Banks fishing Dory. It was displayed in the Elochoman Wooden Boat Festival. I taught two classes….
Today I spent 3 hours cutting and shaping a set of 9’6″ straight grain fir oars. Made for the 20′ Banks Dory that was completed a couple of weeks ago.
