Pelicano 18 – Fiber Glass

June 30 from 8:30 pm to 9:45 pm: fared hull with 80 grit in preparation for fiber glass tape. July 1 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm: taped all seams with double layer of 6 ounce fiber glass. Tomorrow, I will fare all the high spots and fiber glass the hull.

Pelicano 18 – Strongback, Bow Stitched

Today, I started at 7:00 am setting the #4 bulkhead and finishing strongback set up by 9:30am. I started setting the bottom panels at 9:45 and continued to get the bottom panels set and the bow stitched. The inside bottom to the keel, bulkheads and longitudinals are ready for epoxying. Finished at 1:30pm.

Today, I set up the strongback to support the bulkheads. I was also able to set bulkheads one through three. Started at 11:00 am and ended at 5:00 pm.

I finished laying out and cutting all bulkheads and longitudinals that I started last night. I was also able to build the transom jig and put the 4″ curve in the transom. Started at 8:00 am and ended at 4:00 pm.
